Job Description


Resource Person — ITI Engagement


This Resource Person will be the primary point of contact for the direct, ground-level engagement with selected Government ITIs in North Karnataka. It calls for someone who understands ITIs, or shop-floor industrial settings, and is able to work with principals, instructors, and students to test ideas in a controlled setting and identify what interventions are genuinely needed before they're considered for wider rollout.


Key Responsibilities


  1. Work directly and regularly with 2–3 selected Government ITIs to build a firsthand understanding of ground-level realities - administrative, faculty, infrastructure, and student-related.
  2. Support implementation of Strategic Trade Mapping, curriculum bridging actions, and other pilot interventions at the institute level.
  3. Liaise with ITI principals, instructors (including guest faculty), and District/Department officials to coordinate pilot activities.
  4. Continue and strengthen the initiative's existing training collaboration with training partners.
  5. Identify emerging implementation issues and feed them back to the Program Manager.
  6. Support data collection and monitoring at the pilot ITIs, feeding into the initiative's broader learning.


Required Skills and Experience

  1. 3-5 years of direct experience working with ITIs or engineering colleges specifically as faculty, `or significant shop-floor / industrial operations experience (e.g. as a supervisor, technician, or trainer within manufacturing).
  2. Working knowledge of DGT trade structures, or comparable hands-on technical/vocational training exposure.
  3. Comfort operating in a ground-level, on-site role with regular travel to institute campuses.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to train or facilitate sessions.
  5. Kannada Language proficiency is mandatory
  6. The role will be based in Koppal and will require extensive travel within the district with occasional travel to Bengaluru.
